Microwave Caramels

½ c. butter (not margarine)
½ c. corn syrup
½ c. white sugar
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. sweetened condensed milk
Optional: ½ c. chopped pecans

Using microwave safe dish melt butter. When cool. Add syrup, sugars and milk. Stir well and microwave for 7-8 minutes (usually 7 minutes 10 seconds is perfect every time). Do not open and stir during microwave time. Pour into a greased 8x8 dish. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, let sit for 2-3 hours. Cut into pieces and wrap in wax paper. If adding nuts add after microwaving is done, or sprinkle on top before refrigerating.
