Grandpa's Slime

Elmers Glue

Water

1 tsp. Borax

Food Coloring

Pour the glue into a plastic cup. Fill the empty glue bottle with water and stir it into the glue. Add 1-2 drops of food coloring. In a separate cup mix one cup of water and 1 tsp. borax powder. Stir until dissolved. Slowly stir the borax mixture into the glue mixture. Pour off extra water and rinse the slime off that remains. Knead the slime until it feels somewhat dry. The more the slime is played with, the firmer and less sticky it will become.

2 ½ C. Flour

½ C. Salt

1 TBSP Cream of Tartar

1 TBSP Oil

2 C. Boiling Water

Mix dry ingredients. Bring water to a full boil, add oil and food coloring. Mix boiling water with dry ingredients. Stir until cool enough to knead. Dust with additional flour if necessary. This clay will stay soft for several months if stored in an airtight container.
