Flavorful Breadsticks

-Kale Cloward

1 T quick rising yeast
1 ½ C warm water
2 T sugar
½ tsp salt
3 ½ C flour

Mix all ingredients. Blend well. Knead 3 minutes. Rise for 20 minutes. Grease cookie sheet with margarine. Press dough to outer edges. Precut into sticks with a pizza cutter.

Topping
¼ C soft butter
¼ C Parmesan cheese
¼ C mayo
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp parsley flakes

Spread topping over dough. Let rise until almost double. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.

Note: This recipe can also be used as pizza dough. I like to spread it out on a cookie sheet and use most of it as a pizza and then slice some breadsticks from the other part, so I get breadsticks and pizza in one shot. Just make sure you don’t use too much tomato sauce on your pizza or the dough will get mushy.
