-Tara Butler
8 oz. cream cheese
3 TBSP powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 sheets puff pastry (in frozen section by pie dough)
1 can apple pie filling
Thaw pastry sheets. This recipe makes two, so use ½ cream cheese mixture and ½ pie filling on each one. Cut half of each sheet with lattice pie maker, the other half will be used for the bottom and the half that is cut will fold over for the top (or cut several small slits with knife).
Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread on half of pastry that is not cut. Then layer with pie filling. Fold lattice cut top over filling. Seal edge by crimping with a fork.
Bake on cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
