Grandma's Bread (2 loaves)

Kale Cloward

2 C warm water
1 T yeast
1 T salt
2 T sugar
3 T oil
4-5 C flour

Mix together water, yeast, salt and sugar. Set aside until sugar dissolves (about 15 minutes). Then add oil and flour and stir in as much flour as you can with a spoon. When it gets too hard, begin kneading by hand until you have a soft dough. Form into a ball and place in a large greased bowl. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size. Punch down and form into loaves. Place in greased pans and cover. Let rise until just over the lip of the pans. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes.
